If you've been wondering how the Zakat you have given is distributed to the 8 asnaf, MUIS has published the data for the S$16.26M in Zakat funds disbursed in the Financial Year 2007.
The biggest portion went to the poor and needy, who received a total of 31% of Zakat in the forms of Financial Assistance (27%), Empowerment Partnership Scheme (2%) and Muis Annual Grant for Social Services (MAGRASS) (2%).
